For The Record: The Brat Pack Live

I just came back from the Aug 28th sailing of the Escape and I wanted to tell everyone not to miss the show "For The Record: The Brat Pack Live". It was outstanding. If you are a fan of The Breakfast Club or any of the other John Hughes films, then make sure you see this show! NCL did a great job of putting it together. It was very creative and featured a lot of the music and classic lines from the various films.

Just FYI - like most of the big production shows on the new ships, this was not an original NCL production. This was a show on stage on land first, that has been moved and modified to the ship. The original name was "For the Record: Dear John Hughes". We loved it, too!

I did not know that! Thanks for letting me know. Now I have a chance of seeing it again without having to sail on the Escape. I'm gonna keep a look out for it. Would make a fun road trip.

I loved this show so much that I paid to see it twice. Because when I was on the Escape last fall, it was still in the "Supper Club" at $35 per person. I had so much fun the first time that I went again later in the week...and it was worth every penny!

I spent a few minutes talking to the cast after the first show and then saw them around the ship a few times during the week. The guy that played the "dork" (Pip) actually approached me one night as I was walking along a corridor. Then, after the second show, we took a "goofy" picture that I actually ended up buying because I thought it turned out so cute. It made my week! :D

I really can't say enough about this show...and the original cast. I wish I could see how it works on the big stage. :)
