Rare MicCanberra Posted September 7, 2016 #26 Share Posted September 7, 2016 P & O had money exchange on the ship which you could exchange back to Aud, the Bank at Alotau came onboard the ship and set up a money exchange as well but no changing back to Aud.The ship ran out of Kina which you would expect. Thanks for the information, I think I may get some Kina before we go.:D
peter.kath@hotmail.com Posted September 7, 2016 #27 Share Posted September 7, 2016 Has anyone done anything other then a ships tour in Rabaul ? Last cruise some went to Kopoko just wondering if it would be worth a look, but probably prefer to go snorkelling or boat trip. Thanks. cruisine21 Posted September 12, 2016 #29 Share Posted September 12, 2016 I've just heard that you can get Kina from the ATM on the Eden. Not sure of the rates though.
Peal Posted September 13, 2016 #30 Share Posted September 13, 2016 Also if you have Kina left after you've finished shopping, the islanders often have AUD notes and coins they are trying to change into Kina. Plus try to bring small value Kina notes - especially useful in the markets.
