I'm pretty sure I was on line behind you at Budget...lol... It was def crazy and HOT in there.

I kind of felt bad for that woman :( She said that 2 people had called out sick that morning, so yah, she was def stressed. She was checking people in AND checking people out the whole time we were there waiting.

There was a very nice woman outside, with grey hair, that was organizing the shuttles back and forth. She got us on a shuttle pretty quickly after we returned the car, thank God.

The lady that help us was only checking people out and she was very rude. The guy in front of me tried to pay with a credit card and it declined. He said there is no way it should be declined it does have anything in it. She said sir I do not work at the back nor do i have a crystal ball to know why your card is declined. He gave her another one. Declined again. She got irritated and made it seem like he must not have any money. I felt bad for him. He pulled out cash and paid in cash. Then she tried to print a receipt. Their system was down. She could not print it. That was the reason the card had been declined. Nothing to do with the mans finances like she had insinuated. No apology, nothing. Then I came up and she charged me a whole day for 2 hours and was rude about it. I realize people have bad days, but do not take it out on paying customers. I have used budget for years, but when I call them tomorrow if they do not offer at least some of my money back, they will loose my business forever.

I had debated about doing an excursion at amber cove. I had looked at booking the atv adventure but In the end we just decided to hang out at the port area. I love to sit out by the water and read. The pool area was beautiful but if you are a reader get as far away from it as possible. The music is so loud. We walked all the way back to the back and found a chair. They rent umbrellas for $15. We had grabbed some breakfast on the way off of the ship. They had a restaurant by the pool but we did not eat there so I am not sure of the prices. They had a zip line you could do that goes over the pool. It looked really cool and If my son had been with me I am sure we would have done it. But all I wanted to do was relax, hang out and read my book. There was also a water slide at the pool. I wanted to rent one of the over water villas but it was pretty expensive for just 2 people so I didn't. But looking at them when we got off the ship I wished I had. They looked really nice. We just had a nice lazy pool day. When we started getting hungry we decided to get back on the ship and eat a late lunch. We walked around a few of the shops first. It's a fairly new port area and not all the shops were open yet. We got back on the ship around 2 and grabbed a bite to eat. We went out on the deck to lay around and wait for sail away. It was a nice day and we enjoyed the port area.

So pretty much every night we did the same thing. Dinner, alchemy or red from pub, comedy show, casino then pizza. We loved that pizza late at night! I normally love the piano bar, but the guy in there was really bad. He was not fun at all. When we sat down he was asking for requests. Then he said do not request Billy Joel or Elton John because he does not do their songs. What???? That is like the 2 best singers for a piano bar. It just was not the fun singalong atmosphere like on all other ships I had been on. We stayed 20 minutes then left and did not return. We did have to pass the piano bar on the way to the comedy show and I never saw more than 10 or so people in there the whole cruise. The comedians were very good and we enjoyed all of the shows we attended. My husband does not like the singing and dancing shows so we never went to any of them. The dining room food was good every night and the wait staff was awesome. All of the crew on this ship was great! Our room steward was so good. She never asked if we wanted once or twice service. She cleaned twice each day and we hard ever saw her. She was like a ninja, coming in while we were gone then slipping out without notice. We had towels animals every night and even left me a $50 gift card to use in the spa for our anniversary.

St. Thomas.....

I booked the St. John champagne catamaran snorkel though carnival. I normally do excursions on my own, but this one had such great reviews I decide to try it. And I am so glad we did! It was an awesome day. When we got off the ship we met our group and they took us to a small bus to take us to the marina. The ride to the marina was a little bumpy and up and down some big hills. The ride back after was better, the driver went a little slower and it didn't seem as bad. We arrived at the marina and met the captain and crew. It was a large catamaran and there were 33 people on the tour. It said it could hold up to 60 so it was not to crowded at all. The ride on the cat over to St John was beautiful!! One of the crew told us all about living on St Thomas and St John, told us about a lot of the history of the islands and it was very interesting. We sat up front and had a great view of all the islands. They went over safety instructions, gave out the snorkel equipment and then tied off close to honeymoon beach. It was a small beach and it was so beautiful. I really want to go back to the islands and stay for a week. Once we were tied off we had about 1 and 1/2 hours to snorkel and explore the island. They did have a small boat that they would take you to the island if you did not want to swim. We got out and snorkeled, saw a lot of fish, hung out on the beach and just enjoyed being at such a beautiful place. When we got back on the catamaran to head back, they brought out the champagne, beer and rum punch. They also had a tray of cheese and bread. It was an open bar all the way back to St Thomas. My husband had several beers and I had several rum punch. The sail back was amazing and I did not want it to end. All together we were probably gone about 4 hours. It was a great day and I highly recommend this excursion. The crew was so friendly and we had a great time. They dropped us off in the shopping area and you could walk back to ship or do a little shopping.
