jreeves628 Posted October 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2005 I'm trying to decide which balcony room to get on the Explorer of the Seas. Are there any notable differences between the D and E category rooms? In other words, is it worth to pay a little more for a D category instead of an E? Rare cruiselvr04 Posted October 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2005 The balconys on deck ten are a bit better because no one can see you from above or below. Other wise there is no differance. Deck ten was quick to get to the windjammer and pool area. Our cabin was above the serving area of the windjammer however and I could hear this heavy door bang shut frequently. It wasn't too loud but a little annoying. Look at your deck plans carefully before you book. If you don't care about your balcony privacy save your money. cruisin from florida Posted October 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2005 It depends on the specific cabin. The aft cabins in the E category go fast, but have BIG balconies. Look at the deck plans and choose accordingly.
yvonnejh Posted October 31, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2005 I have cruised on the Explorer before but stayed in a Junior suite w/my family of 4 people. This time I am taking my chances in securing 2 balcony suites (D2) for each of 2 members of my family. Has anyone every stayed in the following balcony rooms (D2) - Rooms Nos. #8366 & #8368. Any information you can provide to me would be appreciated.
