Does RCI still offer scuba in Roatan and Belize?

I was looking at shore excursions for my cruise next April (Western, Liberty OtS) and the only port with a scuba excursion for certified divers was Cozumel. There were no scuba excursions in either Roatan or Belize which surprised me, because both ports are known for good diving. I'm hoping maybe it's just too early and all the excursions aren't listed yet

Has anyone been to those ports RECENTLY and done a diving excursion through the ship?

I guess we'll look at private dive ops, but I was hoping to just do the ship's excursion in Belize because of the tendering (and ship's excursions just leave directly from the ship to the dive site). However, if there is no such excursion, we won't have a choice. :(

Yes to both places.

The Belize dive is very expensive. Around $185 pp

It is worth doing once but I would never spend that kind of money again.

Not enough bottom time because too many of the divers are new.

I loved the dive.

And Cozumel, I always dive privately.

I use Aldora. They use steel tanks and max out air 3500 psi.

Almost everyone dives Nitrox

Last dive with them in June....bottom time 86 mins. Max depth for me 75 feet

Most of the time at 45 to 55 feet for most of the divers. I was around 55 ft

For most of the dive.

How long ago did you dive in Belize?

+1 for Aldora!

I'm hoping to possibly get some time with bull sharks this year but it may be too early.

I dove in March of 2015 in Belize with the ship.

Thanks. That was quite a while ago though.

I'm hoping to hear from someone who has cruised in the last month or so.

This makes me think that they might have done away with that particular excursion.

My husband dove in Belize through the ship in December. However, Hugh Parkey has stopped their dive operation to concentrate on their resort, so there is no company arranging dives through the ship as of now. We are sailing Rhapsody in December and hope a new company will take over, but are looking into Sea Sports Belize in case no one does.

In Roatan, he used Scuba Roatan and loved them and will use them again.

I feel your pain... I'm hoping the diving excursion in Cococay will open up in our Cruise Planner for our March 5th Anthem cruise. It is still not listed but, if I go through the excursions page on RCI web site, the excursion lists all the available cruises that does this excursion and it does list our cruise, but it is just not in the planner yet. I got myself and my 2 kids certified this summer in planning for our cruise :(

Bummer, but it confirms what I thought. Looks like we'll be doing private excursions everywhere. We had also looked at Sea Sports as an option for Belize.
