LadyBerard Posted October 31, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2005 Hi. A friend of mine told me that when you are on a Princess ship (unless being on RCI or NCL or Carnival), when you go to the casino and get chips using your sign and sail card, that Princess levies a "fee" for that. Can someone verify this and let me know if this is a flat rate or a percentage of the amount you take. Also, can you cash a personal check on board without a fee? spongerob Posted October 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2005 Casino charges made at the tables or at the cage are subject to a 3% fee. I think cashing personal checks is extremely limited if it is allowed at all. You can purchase traveler checks before you leave; there is no charge to cash those. Toto2Kansas Posted October 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2005 It used to be that you could cash one check for somewhere around $100-$200 onboard. But only one. Not sure if they still do that as I have not looked into it in many years. Best way is to take TC's with you and then if you don't use them, just cash them and put them back into your account when you get home.
