Hotel between Cape Canaveral and Ft. Lauderdale

The plan is to fly to Orlando in early February and spend two days at Disney and then one day at Cape Canaveral. Our cruise leaves from Ft. Lauderdale the next day. We would like to leave Cape Canaveral in the afternoon and drive south about 2 hours, stay over in a nice hotel, and then continue on to Ft. Lauderdale early the next morning. (We'll also be making a stop to visit an elderly relative who lives about 20 minutes from the port before we board our ship so no worries about getting to the ship too early).

 

Any recommendations where to stop? We were thinking about Stuart, which seems mid-way. Anywhere else? We usually stay in Hiltons and Marriotts, if that helps with your advice.

Check out the Delray Beach Marriott. It is across the street from the beach and walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops along Atlantic Ave.
