Can anyone tell me what food is provided when a meal is included the tours while on POA. This is the email I received from CC today, about my previous email and the link for POA. Hi there, Thank you for reporting this; we are looking into it. Sign in on your account on NCL and then it will tell you which excursion is available for each port. You can not book excursions through cruise critic on the POA link. Even though the link is not working right now, it will not help you book excursions, that is done through NCL only, unless looking for private excursions and you are looking for recommendations from other cruise critic members. dcagg03 Posted September 29, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2016 I don't know if the lunch is different for different excursions. We booked the Lava Field Expedition while in Hilo, Hi. on the POA. Our lunch was a boxed lunch, turkey sandwich, chips, cookie, and water. You may be able to get more information is you call the excursion desk.

Thank you for your response I think there may have been a misunderstanding . I wasn't looking to book excursions through cruise critic. I was wanting to know if anyone knew what was in the lunch box they provided on their excursions. 😊😊
kgymn Posted September 29, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 29, 2016 I'm not sure what is provided in the lunches, but since the POA never leaves US waters you are allowed to bring food from the ship with you (unlike most cruises where you cannot take food off of ships), in case the provided lunch isn't to your liking. We did all but one of our excursions on our own (rented cars) and a couple times we brought snacks from the ship with us. ~Katy

Will take some snacks with us.
punkincc Posted September 29, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 29, 2016 (edited) The Pride Of America link isn't working, link has been down for 4 days so far, I need some information asap so I can book shore excursions. Can anyone tell me what food is provided when a meal is included the tours while on POA. Escursions booked through the ship are all contracted with independent vendors, most of which you could book with on your own, or visit independently with a rental car for much less money than the cruise line is charging you. None of these excursions that I am aware of are actually conducted by ship staff and ship owned vehicles. The meals are set by the vendor and vary greatly from excursion to excursion depending on tour length and many other factors. Some are meager sandwich or snack only offerings. Some offer cooked fresh meats and sides. Some offer alcohol included and some not. Depending on location, some will visit places where lunch will be available at a designated time "on your own" by purchase from local vendors. You would need to look at the excursion details listed by the ship or vendor to see what if anything is included. You can find these listed within your reservation after you set up your MyNCL account on the NCL website.
