Do you know of any hotels that offer free parking while on the cruise? The less expensive hotels are located further away from the port in North Charleston, Ladson and Summerville however you're looking at a 30-45 minute drive to the port. Another thing to consider is that the hotels which let you park and offer free transfers to the port charge more for that room rate than just booking a regular room. If you have to pay for your own transportation, there goes any savings you would have probably experienced. Because the Carnival cruises are so short, after all the time you'll spend doing the research, you'll probably discover that it's less expensive and more convenient to just book a room in Mount Pleasant or West Ashley areas and park at the port.
