runswithdogs Posted September 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2016 Hello! We're taking a RC cruise out of San Juan in Feb. We'll be staying in Isla Verde for 3 days pre-cruise, with a rental car. Post-cruise, our flight leaves at 1:40pm to head home. I hear there are plenty of cabs in San Juan. I don't think we'll be in a big rush with that flight time, and we won't be trying to do any last-minute site-seeing either. Would anyone suggest doing anything differently than just getting a cab to the airport? Are there shuttle buses too? We had pre-reserved a shuttle bus when we took a cruise out of FLL recently. But of course setting a specific time is always tricky when disembarking. Thanks!
caribsun Posted September 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2016 I used the bus/shuttle provided by the cruise ship. Purchased the ticket on the ship.
JoyMouse Posted September 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2016 I would just get a cab. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
ShotsnCruises Posted September 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2016 Cab for 2 people with up to 5 bags is about $25 from RC cruise port to the airport.
Ashland Posted September 29, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2016 I used the bus/shuttle provided by the cruise ship. Purchased the ticket on the ship. Sorry, but absolutely unnecessary and over priced...You would have been better off using a taxi...do consider this option next time.
bouhunter Posted September 29, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2016 (edited) Since you'll be there 3 days pre-cruise you'll probably already have visited Old San Juan. Not enough time to do much, I would probably just take a taxi to the airport. They'll be lined up and ready for you. Certainly don't bother with the trouble or expense of a shuttle.
