trigger Posted September 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2016 Is the boarding process similar to getting on a plane...empty your pockets, take off your belt and walking through a metal detector?
drumtech77 Posted September 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2016 (edited) Let me get this straight. You have been a member of CC since 2001. Yet you've been on cruises before. HMMMMMM[emoji848] From 2007 I have looked at GC page and can't find what I am looking for. We are going to GC in Feb. for the 4th time and are wanting to do something different than the usual snorkel/beach/turtle farm excursions. Has or does anyone know about renting a jeep for the day here? Is it worth the time and expense? Have we seen all there is to see in GC on the afore mentioned shore excursions? Snit13 Posted September 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2016 Is the boarding process similar to getting on a plane...empty your pockets, take off your belt and walking through a metal detector? For the most part similar but not quite as strict. Have never had to take shoes off like for plane.
Scotty G Posted October 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2016 For the most part similar but not quite as strict. Have never had to take shoes off like for plane. DW had to remove her sandals a couple of times last cruise since they set off the scanner alarm.
SPacificbound Posted October 1, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 1, 2016 I have never had to take off my shoes/sandals, but I have a pat down every time I board, re-board due to heart device.
cb at sea Posted October 1, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 1, 2016 Going thru security prior to boarding is similar, but not as stringent, as getting to the gate on a plane. After that, you simply "check in"...just like a hotel.
champagne123 Posted October 1, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 1, 2016 (edited) I'm a little confused too. According to his history, he has been on many cruises. OP....are you sure your question is phrased correctly? Maybe we are misunderstanding what you are asking. Edited October 1, 2016 by champagne123 dddddd
Dawniepoo Posted October 1, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 1, 2016 DW had to remove her sandals a couple of times last cruise since they set off the scanner alarm. Were they made of lead? :D
