Cruise Certificate Complimentary Code CPI

Hello,

New to the forum here. My wife and I were on the Carnival Valor back in Jun/July and on the last night in the casino "won" the free cruise drawing. We dropped some cash, so I'm a little hesitant on whether or not the system is rigged or not and it seemed they were given others envelopes as they were cashing out as well. Maybe someone can add to that?

My question-this certificate is supposed to be used by 12/2, we just got off a 7-nighter and have a 10 nighter planned right when the certificate is set to expire. It's good for up to eight nights and we would like to use all eight nights and I would like to do it with my wife and not alone.

Has anyone ever had any luck getting the casino to extend this deadline? I can't get these people to budge? Any tricks? They just seem rude.

Now, I'll go without her or worse case do a weekend one, but I would hate to do such a short one.

Op..Congratulations! Can you clarify though? Isn't the cruise you won for you and a guest?

The envelopes you saw other passengers receiving may have been bounceback offers. Usually a free cruise in an interior cabin. Taxes and port fees not included.

Here's the front of the certificate. Have trouble loading the back of the certificate. Yes, for a guest and myself inside 4A.

Maybe others haven't seen this and it would be good to have a look at it.

My experience is they are very strict with cutoff dates with casino offers. That being said it never hurts to call and ask as this is a bit different. Worst they can say is no.

Maybe they can apply the free cruise offer to the cruise you have booked, and just have you pay the upgrade fee if you have a higher cabin category booked. This does not work with bounceback offers as it has to be a new booking, but since you "won" the cruise maybe they can work with you.

You can also try emailing the casino at..casino@carnival.com. Include your name and VIFP# and date of birth and explain the issue.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Why do you think you are entitled to an "exception" of the terms?? Sorry, but Carnival has every right to enforce the offer "given" to you. (GIFT)

Appreciate the response. I have spoken with them on a couple of occasions but no luck. The trip we have coming up is with Celebrity on a Sunset Veranda and was booked with another couple. Kinda tough to want to cancel that particular cruise even though we were well within the window to do so. We have drinks, tips and onboard credit and love Celebrity. Tough to convince everyone...i.e., the ladies, to change. LOL

Why did you even bother saying anything, he asked advise not your opinion. Pretty nasty reply

When I had a coupon for a percentage off due to another cruise issue it said had to be used by a certain date. When I called they said that meant I had to BOOK the cruise by that date, not sail by it. Good luck.

Unfortunately, this isn't one of those and I'm having a difficult time uploading a picture of the back of the certificate so that you can see what it states. If I can get it to upload, I'll show you.
