How far out do excursions become available?

I have a March 2018 cruise booked and excursions are not yet opened for that cruise. How far out do they usually open up for booking?

It was somewhere around 18 months before any showed up for our upcoming cruise. The first to appear was FTTF, then one by one, more trickled in.

For that early in 2018, I would not expect them to show up before mid 2017. I was waiting for excursions to pop up for Jan 2017 and they popped up in Aug 2016.

We have a cruise booked for October 2017 and our excursions showed up around June 2016

When can I book shore excursions?

 

 

Shore excursions may be booked online prior to sailing up until the Pre-Sail cut-off time,11:30pm ET the evening prior to the cruise departure. Shore excursions generally open for sale 6 to 18 months prior to the cruise. Cruise departures in 2018, will be open for sale some time between April and June 2017.

We usually book about 11 months ahead and excursions are available to purchase. EVERY time I forget, that if you book an excursion for, say all 3 ports, you get a 20% discount. I finally remembered to do this for my next cruise. When I forgot, that this option was available, I had not researched what we would want to do, and there is a time limit, that this deal is offered. And I couldn't make my mind up, that fast. Now, I research the excursions BEFORE I book the cruise. Maybe, this will help,:) someone.
