hartskys Posted October 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) Hi. Can anyone confirm there is an Alamo Shuttle to the Alamo Car Rental location at the Miami airport from the Port of Miami? I have spoken to 3 Alamo reps and all 3 have told me different things. 1) They do not provide Shuttle service from POM to MIA location 2) They have a downtown location that we could walk to from the POM to pickup rental car. 3) Yes, they have a shuttle that will pick you up at the port and take you to the airport location. This rep seemed to know what she was talking about and didn't even have to put me on hold. Just a little skeptical when I get so many different answers. Any help would be very much appreciated. Also, when I go into rent the car - it has a note at the bottom that Alamo collects a Frequent Flyer Tax Recoupment Surcharge to cover federal tax on the cost of miles awarded at time of rental. What does that mean? I am renting through Southwest. As you can tell we don't usually rent a car so I'm learning as I go. Thanks :) Edited October 10, 2016 by hartskys
JohninDC Posted October 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2016 National, Alamo & Thrifty offer a free shuttle between POM & MIA - show your reservation paperwork to the driver to board at POM.
awhcruiser Posted July 10, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2017 I know this thread is almost a year old. But does Alamo still provide shuttle service from POM to MIA?

loanshark Posted July 10, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 10, 2017 Was just there last month.... Alamo / National / Dollar / Thrifty - Shuttle goes to the Miami airport location. Avis / Budget - Shuttle goes to the downtown SE 2nd street location. Used Budget one direction and Thrifty the other, and saw the Alamo shuttle at the airport location, in addition to having used Alamo in the past.
