Can any tell me how far out you had to book the cabanas at Vibe?

You can not book ahead. Only once onboard.

And unless you get a low boarding number, your chances of getting a Vibe pass of any kind (let alone a Cabana) are slim. But it might be different on a cool weather sailing where outside space isn't so in-demand. But in cool weather, I would go for the Thermal Suite passes instead. You can buy those in advance

You need To be one of the first of 4200+ passengers to board. Then walk fast, not run, to the guest service desk on embarkation day.
