Costa Maya Beach Resort?

Looking at going to the Costa Maya Beach Resort this December. Family of 7 (ranging from 9 to 77 years old). Any recent reviews?

You aren't really going to find a "resort". You will find places on the beach that are mostly restaurants with beachfront property. The only "resort" I know of is Almaplena, which is about 20-25 minutes from the port and a small little hotel.

 

I would suggest some place like Maya Key, which is a super nice beach area with some cool snorkeling and water things to do if you want. It's not an AI, but we found it to be pretty inexpensive when we went. It's only 5 minutes or so from the port and on the Malecon.

 

Check out my review in my signature line on it. I also have a review for Almaplena (the "resort" I mentioned earlier...it's a small hotel with about 8 rooms and is very pretty and it is an AI with everything included). There's also Maya Chan. Excellent people, service and food, just not pretty water. :)

We did YaYa beach club which was all inclusive. It was awesome!
