pblack Posted October 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2016 Good news for us. :) Since I live in Sacramento, Long Beach is the closest terminal to me. Hopefully this should also make it an easier embarkation at Long Beach.

springs741 Posted October 20, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2016 Anyone catch the last paragraph of that article? "The ships that now serve Long Beach carry 2,000 to 2,500 passengers;*the expansion would allow Carnival to sail the Carnival Splendor to Long Beach, a 952-foot long ship that can hold 3,012*passengers, Carnival officials said." It has been rumored that Splendor would move to the West Coast for some time before going to China.
SadieN Posted October 20, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2016 (edited) FWIW Long Beach was Splendor's first American homeport back in 2008/2009. She had a string of bad luck, the fire (Spam Cruise) and the Swine Flu debacle. Edited October 21, 2016 by SadieN
