Absolutely, just pack your bathing suit in your carry on...

It's usually a good time to do so as the pools are fairly quiet. Everyone else is checking out the ship and many don't have their swim stuff with them.

 

Particularly good on the new ships as you can use the slides with hardly any waiting.
