pepperrn Posted October 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2016 Please excuse the poor quality and size of the photo (the original is far better of course). Can any of our well travelled members please help in naming the captain shown in this photo? It was taken on board the QE2 in 1988, but that is all I know (other than the name of the lady of course, who has very recently passed away, her family are keen to know more details as there are none on the photo, or in the card folder. Frankly they had no idea she had been on the QE2). I (and the family) would be most grateful for any help, thank you.

pepperrn Posted October 24, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) The late Captain Robert WoodallThank you Pennback, That certainly looks like him, I will pass on this information to the family of the lady. Thank you also for the links, most useful. I don't suppose they will ever find out which voyage sadly, not without further clues. Thank you again for your prompt help, much appreciated. Calliope Posted October 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2016 The late Captain Robert Woodall Opps, you meant Robin Woodall and not Robert. I sailed once with him being master right after the S.S. QE2 became the M.V. QE2.
