OntCruise Posted October 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2016 This may be a dumb question but you can't have an obstructed view balcony on the Conquest, correct? Looking to book a guarantee balcony And don't care about deck or cabin location, I just don't want anything blocking my view. Trying to save a few bucks since the exchange is so bad. RWolver672 Posted October 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2016 (edited) It's true but you may wind up over or under a noisy area such as a night club or under the Lido deck where they drag furniture around in the early morning hours. At least pick out a deck that has cabins above and below it. Edited October 27, 2016 by RWolver672
OntCruise Posted October 27, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted October 27, 2016 Thanks... we don't really care about noise. We are sound sleepers and have stayed below the lido before - didn't really bother us even when we could hear chairs moving around. What would bother us is if we couldn't enjoy the full balcony view. Thanks for the reply!
bakersdozen12 Posted October 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2016 Based on the fact that I never saw "Obstructed Balcony" as a category when I booked my two Conquest cruises, I would say it's a good bet that there aren't any. Pellaz Posted October 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2016 (edited) Funny; we were just talking about this last night when comparing Fantasy-class and Conquest-class ships. And yep, there are no obstructed balconies on Conquest-class ships. The lifeboats are slung even with Deck 4 and slightly above Deck 3 (where you can walk underneath them). Deck 4 does not contain any staterooms...for that matter, nor do Decks 3 or 5. Edited October 27, 2016 by Pellaz
