Hoti4 Posted October 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2016 We r sailing at christmas time with 2 kids 9 and 13. We havent sailed royal before and not to sure on kids club. My husband and u have an anniversary while we r the ship n wanted to have a dinner date in one of the other special restaurant. If we do this would our kids have dinner with kids club or will we still have to take them to dinner? I know on the last ship we went on for Christmas our kids had dinner with kids club that night. gerif Posted October 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2016 Assuming you mean Explorer. Not sure if they do dinner every night but you could always take them to the WJ early and then have your dinner later after they have gone to AO which opens at 7. ozscot01 Posted October 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2016 Check as soon as you board to see what nights the kids club do group dinners. I don't think it's every night, but you may be lucky. Otherwise make your reservation for later and do as Hoti4 suggested. Could you trust them to go it alone for one night? Hoti4 Posted October 27, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted October 27, 2016 Thanks for that. Ill have to wait till we get in the ship i guess. We wanted to look at the mystery dinner n i was hoping to book before getting on. My kids r 9 and 13 dont think im quite ready to trust them to take themselves to dinner just yet. Im sure my 13 yr old would convince the 9 yr old to have ice cream n lollys for dinner. Lol Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
ozscot01 Posted October 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2016 (edited) I have another idea! Go ahead and book the dinner you want then take the kids to Johnny Rockets for an early dinner that night. You could feed them around 5.30, spoil them with milkshakes and still have plenty of time to get ready for your own night out. Thanks Sent from my SM-G930F using Forums mobile app If you have traditional dining , early seating you can sign up for my family time dining, where on select days the staff of the kids clubs meet you at the door of the MDR after about 45 minutes to bring the kids back to the clubs. Their meals are expedited. Otherwise the kids clubs are not open during Dinner hours. And you'd have to feed them on your own Sent from my iPad using Forums

Im sort of hoping we can do this with kids club. It will be only for 1 night otherwise we have dinner together every other night. Otherwise we can do what others have suggested and take them to johnnys or the wind jammer.
