tender in Port Douglas

We will be on Azamara cruises, the Journey in February. It is a tender port. Does anyone know how long it takes to get ashore? Where are you dropped off?

You are dropped off deep within the Marina.

 

We were there on Dawn Princess. The ship anchors out a pretty good distance, probably close to 2 miles. I would estimate the travel time at 20-25 minutes. We used shore based tenders- more like ferry boats, as the channel is a bit tricky (thus having local Captains), and as the shore based vessels can take more people, this off loading the ship faster.
