You are dropped off deep within the Marina.

 

We were there on Dawn Princess. The ship anchors out a pretty good distance, probably close to 2 miles. I would estimate the travel time at 20-25 minutes. We used shore based tenders- more like ferry boats, as the channel is a bit tricky (thus having local Captains), and as the shore based vessels can take more people, this off loading the ship faster.
