The only time I was able to do it is when room service called that they were coming with the platinum hordoerve (sP) and we asked for a sub

Thank you. My husband and I are both platinum and this is a "Ultra" cruise which also sends the strawberries. We have strawberries out the wazoo! Most of the time they are there when we return to the room, but on one occasion I do remember them calling to see about dropping them off. Hopefully that will happen this Cruise and I can ask for a substitution. Thanks again for mentioning it in your review. Always helpful info here on CC!

I emailed the maitre d' sayinig I am allergic to strawberries. The plate was 1000 times nicer than you get in the MDR. Really big and tasty. Lasted several days. Also had red grapes.

 

Platinum/Diamond gift is the croc visor. Gave mine to some kind as they have nothing to exchange it for at GS.

Thanks for the info. Our next cruise is on the Magic. Our first time on the Magic and Port Canaveral. We had Dr E on The Glory last year. He wavered between entertaining and annoying.

Great idea! Thank you. I feel bad that the strawberries get thrown out. I will email the maitre d' politely requesting a cheese plate substitution for the strawberries. The chocolate covered strawberries are good, but are so sweet I could only eat one. Hope my request will be granted. Your description of the cheese plate sounds really good!

Over the years the strawberries keep getting smaller and are not the same quality as offered elsewhere on the ship.

My meal in Cucina on Magic was just fine. I had Nona's meatballs for an appetizer and then the chicken parm.

 

My ribeye in the steakhouse was great too. I put absolutely no stock in cruise food reviews though. Too subjective!

 

LOVE Carnival Magic! I also think Dr E is without a shadow of doubt, the best CD Ive had so far in the six cruises Ive been on. Hope he is still on Magic next October

 

I can't understand why I got the worst rib eye cut ever.

 

Have you ever had Donkey as CD? He was fabulous. So wass Butch.

We were on the Magic for two weeks. Food and service was very good in all venues. We were pampered and always treated with grace. I always believe you receive what you project.

The weather was not the best for both weeks but this was Our favorite cruise! Thanks for reading. Roger and Gloria

I certainly didn't project I wanted a tough rib eye! Service in Cucina was fabulous but the solid mass of spaghetti was terrible. I also didn't project I wanted bad spaghetti.
