If you have the same cabin on both trips, do you have to pack your suitcases after the first leg? The PVP I had link my trips said I would. I don't understand why...its the same cabin! Will they take my luggage off then bring it back up??

Buckeye is right. Your steward will just take care of regular cleaning in your room on change over day. No need to pack.

When we did it there were about 75 b2b. Well organized, and the letter will clearly spell everything out. I think it took 30 minutes max to go off and then back on.

Then you get the best pool chair!

My many BTB Cruises in the same cabin.

Never have I sit my luggage out after the first Cruise.......

As others has said about a letter............

Not always,,,,,,go to the Guest Services desk

to make sure your name is on the list.............

Also make sure your Cabin Steward knows you are BTB.........

Have a great BTB Cruise............

You'd think a PVP would know...

You don't have to pack. And you don't have to bring anything off the ship with you other than ID and passport/BC.

Can we get off and explore the port......then do we go thru the whole check in process or will we have our new cards and just get back on board? I'm confused......

You will already have your card, so you are free to explore the port.B2B in San Juan are great for this option, since you don't have to be back onboard until 8ish

what happens if i do not tell my steward i am on a b2b?

I read on here many years ago...........

The Guest/Cruiser came back to their Cabin

after the BTB meet at the Service Desk

Their cabin had been clean out...............

The Steward may have been new............

And threw everything in the trash..........

I also will tell my Steward not to clean my room until late if need be so that they aren't rushed cleaning my room with others as they prepare for the next set of guests.

I will only book B2B when i can keep my same room as its nice not to pack up and change rooms even though i have been told the room steward will move everything between rooms for you.

We did not even have to get off the ship. We met in the main show room and there were 4 customs officers on stage. First Diamond, then Platinum, and the everyone else does the customs thing. The only reason it took over an hour was one couple was not present and everyone had to be present to start the process. When they showed up a 1/2 hour late, everyone booed them.

the only thing i don't like about B2B's are sometimes they have us meet on a upper floor. then we take the elevator down to the gangway. Of all my cruises its the only time i have ever taken the elevator and they wouldn't let me walk the stairs and meet them down there. The stairs are the only reason i don't gain a lot of weight on cruises as i do love to eat.

seriously? I might not do a B2B if I can't walk the stairs

it may sound funny but my wife and I were very proud of never taking an elevator and that ruined it. Think if you had always done something like take a picture getting on the ship and then they stop doing that. it would probably bother you. or possibly if you had to turn your S&S card in after the cruise and could no longer collect them. It was just something my wife and i had always done.

when my wife and I did a B2B a couple of years ago out of San Juan. we did not need to pack and we were the only ones doing a B2B. we met at the meeting place and I asked if we were going to be escorted back on they said no, we had to get off the ship and wait with everyone else waiting to get back on the ship.

I was really bummed. but it did not ruin my fun.

Just got off a B2B. ALL returning cruisers had to meet and go through process together.

This included getting off and walking down then back up that PC ramp. Three had mobility issues and had to do it. There was an elevator but it was not offered by staff
