in room safes on the Valor

Just curious which kind of in room safe the Valor has? (interior cabin) Is it a magnetic stripe or a code? If possible what size is it approx.? Thank you!

I had a PT cabin and it had the card swipe type. It seems to me all of the safes are about the same size. I would guess 12 inches wide, 8 inches deep, and about 8 inches high.

Definitely big enough for an iPad. I don't remember if we put our laptops in there as well ?? I'm pretty sure we did not. They are definitely card swipe style. I used an old card to open the safe like an old gift card or room key, not one of my credit cards. We had a balcony room on deck 6, my aunt & uncle had interior on deck 6 across the hall from us.

On the Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Ecstasy, guests must obtain a key from their Room Steward. There is no charge; however, a $40 fee will be charged to their Sail & Sign Account in the event the key is lost or not returned by the last evening of the cruise.

I bring my travel documents in an 8 and 1/2 x 12" folder that did not lay flat in the safe. When I scrunched it in to fit, the door would not lock, so definitely not laptap size

Definitely the card swipe type. I go into Kroger and find one that has the magnetic strip on it. Just take it. Obviously, don't run it through the cash register. Ours was taco bell!!

Seriously?!? You recommend the OP steal something to use for the safe so others can't steal what the OP owns? SMH :rolleyes:

The safe was big enough to hold my Surface Pro 3, a pocket digital camera, full DSLR camera, a small purse. You can use any magnetic strip card to access the safe other than your room key. Personally I prefer the keypad safes.
