Pretty neat to dock for just a couple of minutes between the Breakaway and the Sky this beautiful sunny morning. Best wishes for the passenger who was evacuated.

We made a point of ordering a mess of drinks while docked purely in the interest of research: No Bahamas sales tax has appeared so far on our shipboard accounts. :D

You were blindfolded when you consumed those beverages, eh? You know, to make sure all the protocols were being followed? I have really enjoyed reading your updates.......thanks for posting,

The reason for stopping in Nassau this morning to evacuate a lady who was in great need of extreme medical is that 36 hours had passed since she injured her femur and was in critical condition. Could not wait to go to Miami.

Sailed in at 9am and we were sailing out by 9:20. We were docked between Breakaway and Sky and as we were sailing away we passed Escape. 4 NCL ships in the vicinity!!

We spoke with the lady's travelling companions - it was pretty bad happening ..... hope she pulls through the ordeal and recovers well. Her husband got off the ship with her.

Beautiful day out with calm seas and clear sky.

We get into Miami tomorrow as scheduled.

Last full day of the cruise.

Captain Litovic left yesterday in Miami, Captain Kim Karlsson is back in charge of the Jade now.

Immigration in Miami went about as smoothly as can be hoped yesterday. People with NCL excursions got to go first, then people finishing their cruise in Miami (150 or so passengers), and by the time they started calling the first decks they were running about 45 minutes behind schedule. Another 45 minutes waiting in the immigration line in the terminal and we were in Miami just after 10am. Sailaway was supposed to be at 5pm but they were still loading stuff and we watched a bunch of other ships (Sky, Aida, RCCL, etc.) leave port before we sailed. Would have been nice to have that extra time on shore to enjoy South Beach… Especially since it was everyone's first time on land in 8 days!

Elements was great as usual last night. After all these years we are still trying to figure out some of the magic acts…

Shows: We keep missing them because of long dinners, but there is a brand new production show called "Blazing Boots" that just debuted on the Jade last week. It has a country music theme. (We didn't see it, maybe it will be repeated in the second half of the cruise?)

... .

Wasn't repeated but imho you didn't miss much. I attended the 9pm showing. The boots were blazing, alright -- lots of fast stomping. I'm a country music fan and was not impressed by the songs chosen. All fast ones for boot stomping.

Yeppers, no reason given for docking the night before scheduled ..... until we opened the curtains this morning - FOG.

Completely blanketed in fog - so that was why we came in early. No announcements about it yesterday at all - I was pi$$ed off when I went to casino for my nightly fix, only to find it closed and had to go to Guest Services to cash in my chips!!

I hadn't understood the reason an employee gave me when I saw the closed sign. Now it makes sense!

I didn't realize how early we got to Tampa. I just knew that when I woke at 2am for a bathroom break we were already docked and I was surprised!
