Cheers program question

ship leaves at 4, but you'll be boarding around noon. The first you will surprisingly drink more than you think. Before pre purchasing Cheers, first thing we did at boarding was get our Cheers stick and head right to the bar for a welcome drink. We beers, fufu drinks, pre dinner martini, wine with dinner, and a night cap, we definitely got our quota.

If you get the cheers package the 2nd day do you pay for the first day. Ship leaves at 4 first day and trying to get settled in and everything don't think it would be worth it in that day.

No, you do not.. you would pay for any drinks you order individually until 6am the second day.

Another consideration:

IF you pre buy you save $5 per day. So by waiting you will pay $15 extra to save "$50". I don't think it would be difficult to spend more than $35 dollars on that first day. If you purchase 4 drinks that first day you have spent that $35. One more drink and you are ahead of the game.

I thought you had to purchase for the entire cruise and if you purchased on the 2nd day they would add any first day drinks to cheers instead of charging you?

Doesn't work that way. You can buy it either Day 1 or Day 2. If Day 2, any drinks you get Day 1 are charged separately to your Sail and Sign Account.

This is getting confusing, too many erroneous statements. Two or Three ports (not exactly sure N.Y. Galveston) do not allow Cheers on the first day. Something about liquor laws and losing their tax revenue. At ports where the first day is allowed, I believe you must buy the whole week

I can tell you for a fact (not counting the ports where you can't use first day) that the first time I purchased cheers it was on the 2nd day and they added all first day drinks to cheers and didn't charge. Maybe they do now but didn't then.

Sailing from NYC, Mobile, and Galveston you may NOT take advantage of Cheers on embarkation day.

You may pre-purchase (and save the $5 per day pp) but you are only charged for the days you use it. A 7 night cruise, you are charged 6 nights.

Any drinks you buy the first day (embarkation) are charged individually to your sail and sign and are NOT rolled into Cheers.
