I just got a call from Carnival saying your cruise today will be delayed for a couple hours because of loading / unloading of materials please add two hours to your check in time boarding will start at1:30 for all guests including platinum and diamond. Has anyone ever had this call? Do they really delay boarding by two hours ? Thanks

Wow! Since 199 people have viewed but not replied to your question, then I will answer.

Yes, they sometimes delay boarding and will call or e-mail guests to let them know.

Possible outcomes that I have experienced:

1) Go to the port on time and they will let you board when you get there.

2) Go to the port on time and they will turn you away and tell you to come back at the new time.

3) Go to the port on time and they park you in a separate area and then move you and all the other folks with you to the actual parking area. Folks that delayed their arrival may get in before you.

4) Go to the port at the new time and get on board in line with everyone else.

Good luck and enjoy your cruise!
