jonbgd Posted November 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2016 As a Corpsman I earned Doc with the Marines For those that have served we have all picked on each other A few things on my mind Air force..... COUNTRY CLUB They build the golf course before requesting the money to building the tarmac(straight from a F-117 pilot) BUt they do have the best chow halls The definition of ARMY Arnt a real Marine yet Sorry Army but WTH is with all the new gear while USMC gets hand me downs BTW Is this going to be the 15th time Navy beats ARMY in a row Coast Guard....... have to be 6ft tall or above so they can walk back to shore when their row boat sinks Or Shallow water sailor or Brown water sailor or sailing on a blue hulled boat a Barnie Marines look at your paycheck it says Dept of NAVY USMC.... They found their few good men and we are called NAVY CORPSMAN Navy........ definition of a squid is we eat lower Marine Life There are more CMH's awarded to Navy Corpsman and Army Medics for sacrifices we make But they didn't do it to get a medal, it was to save their brother in arms, no matter what branch you served While on liberty, we talked trash, but when poo hit the fan, we were one To all my fellow Vets God Bless
dreadpirate3 Posted November 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2016 Happy Veteran's Day! I was off today, since I work for the state government, and my DH is an Army Veteran. I took him out for dinner and he had a pretty good day.

Congrats to your Nephew and you should be very proud In time he will earn the respect of his fellow Marines:eek: He be fine, Marines just have a tough way of showing it in the beginning:cool: Once he gets his Crow it gets easier. travelin_nat Posted November 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2016 (edited) Congrats to your Nephew and you should be very proud In time he will earn the respect of his fellow Marines:eek: He be fine, Marines just have a tough way of showing it in the beginning:cool: Once he gets his Crow it gets easier. He will understand what I'm saying. Thanks! I get very little info, but from what I understand, they are already very protective of him. My brother is a retired Chief (20+ years on submarines), and he tells me my nephew promoted at a very impressive pace. I look forward to the day when he's out of harm's way, but I don't spend time dwelling on it or worrying about it because it won't change anything.
