Les Picantins Posted November 30, 2016 #26 Share Posted November 30, 2016 But you are timeless, so no worries! :) Missed seeing you before we boarded in MC. Hi 2SailingNomads, I hope you are continuing to enjoy your cruise and that the little monsters disembarked in Barcelona.
oregon50 Posted December 4, 2016 #27 Share Posted December 4, 2016 A few nice touches in the Diamond Elite package: $100 Spa credit. Complimentary Dry cleaning - I believe limits apply. Embarkation / Disembarkation transfer up to 50 miles. Upgraded welcome champagne in your suite. Single supplement deals depending on suite level - I suspect some cruises may offer reduced single supplements anyway. Henry :) Looking forward to putting the embarkation transfer to test in Kobe during May. Single supplement reduced from 75 to 50% for this sailing. Without the new level, SB had the best frequent floater program. Added benefits are worth real dollars/pounds.
raphael360 Posted December 27, 2016 #28 Share Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) At the other end of the spectrum there are those of us steadily working their way up from soil level to worm level :) I think we get an extra roll of toilet paper in the cabin..... At 60 days / 67 points we have some way to go on the ladder, 34 days on Encore will push us from Silver to Gold. The reality on Seabourn is that loyalty status, just as cabin type isn't as critical as it is on the mainstream lines. Everyone gets recognition from the crew, there are plenty of spaces to relax onboard and of course drinks are inclusive. On Royal Caribbean our diamond plus status afforded us the opportunity to escape the madding crowd in specialist lounges and enjoy complimentary pre dinner drinks / canapés. There were also reserved loungers by the pool, all be it with no shade! Even on our first Seabourn cruise we felt special. Some would say I'm "special" anyway !! Henry :) A free bag of laundry every 7 days kicks in at GOLD level which we think is the best perk (and really smart on Seabourn's part). We can cut back one, maybe two suit cases on a 14 to 18 day international cruise which is a Big deal when flying international. oregon50 Posted January 26, 2017 #30 Share Posted January 26, 2017 We are a cruise or two away from achieving the Elite status, A tip for Mr. Elitist and others regarding jackets. Suggest ordering a size or two larger than your normal inclination. First clue is that they offer sizes up to 4 or 5 XL. XL is largest jacket size I have worn. Ordered 2XL and it is a bit tight. 3XL would have been a better choice.
markham Posted January 27, 2017 #31 Share Posted January 27, 2017 It's a pity you are unhappy with your size. If it's important to you you might trim down a bit with some clever workouts or else give the jacket away to someone who might appreciate it. Happy and healthy sailing!
