What is the Casino Offer/Rate?

I booked under the Casino Offer option instead of the normal early saver, but I can't see anywhere what that actually means? Do I get some Casino based perk or something?

There are many different casino rates, so it is very helpful to know which casino rate you booked under. Casino rates may mean a cabin price discount, free cabin, casino cash, or other freebies depending on what you've earned on past cruises. What is the code associated with the casino offer you booked?

I have no clue. I just clicked on the price that said "Casino Offer", it was cheaper than even the early saver. I see nothing else in my booking showing any info. Do you know where I'd find such code?

You might still have that casino offer still under your VIFP#. Go take a look under your VIFP offers (when logged into Carnival, mouse over the Manage tab and the farthest right is VIFP Club. Then look at your offers.) You can read what your offer is there.

You can always call and ask what code you booked under. There are many. Anything I tell you may or may not be relevant to your booking code. I usually print the booking rules I book under. You may want to consider that in the future.

Now I am even more confused. It's under my specials, it says "from $118" I click on it and it loops back around to what looks like the booking system. It does mention rate code PTC though. Says casino cash + up to $500 off fun select rates.

You have already benefited from the cheaper rate on your booking. You will get some casino cash and you should get an email verifying the amount (have seen reported from $40 to $1k under the PTC code - all depends on your last cruise(s) how much you spent in the casino.) One of my upcoming cruises is under PTC and I have to bring the email I got and give to the casino cage in order to receive my cash.

 

You should probably get the Drinks on Us card too (usually waiting in your stateroom or simply ask the casino host when you first go).

That's the one I have in my offers. It should be up to $500 off and up to $50 in casino chips.

We booked this rate. Both my husband and I got the offer. He got an email saying he was getting $25 in casino cash and I sent an email and was told I was getting $50.

As with the casino cash, it depends on your level of play on your last cruise. We sailed using the PTC code in July and did not have a DOU card.

Or maybe based on the amount one drinks...I usually get a soda a day and 1 or 2 fru-fru drinks the whole cruise.

Not PTC. That is the lowest rate there is as far as I can tell. I have used that rate a few times as well as my family members and didn't get a DOU Card. They hit the 1500 points in the casino on a couple specific cruises and then earned it. I have received $25 Casino Cash, and they have gotten $50. You can tell who spends more time in there.

 

I understand that if you reach a certain amount of points (possibly 5000 or more, but I can't really remember the denomination so I'm taking a stab at it), that you will automatically have the DOU card at the beginning of the next cruise. But I can tell you for sure that it's not a part of the PTC rate. At least not as of earlier in the year.

Casino rate depends on your play. I'm usually close to free cruises, but they get me in the Casino. Sometimes though......I get them.

Your stab is right.

1500 - to earn DOU card on the ship.

5000 to have it available when you get on the next cruise, within 12 months

over 10,000 there is a good chance you will get offered a bounce back cruise. ( free cruise, you just pay port fees) This however is based on how much others are gambling... I was told it is only give out to at most 15 people each cruise, and they are the top players.
