Vegetarian Menu on Getaway?

Hi all,

 

Leaving in a month on the Getaway.

My wife is Vegetarian (but not Vegan).

On Celebrity and RCL she could ask for and receive a separate menu in addition to the normal MDR menu.

 

I was wondering if there is that kind of option for MDR dinners on the Getaway.

I believe they have vegetarian options on every MDR menu. I, too, am leaving on the Getaway on January 15th. So excited!!

They do in fact have a VG option on every menu.

Vegetarian options are denoted with a (V) on the menu, but there is not a separate menu.

Lots of veg options on buffet.

 

Very nice mushroom napoleon in le bistro.

 

Stir fry veggies or tofu in teppenyaki.

 

My niece is a vegan and it was fine for her.

I am a vegetarian and I have sailed on Breakaway three times. I never have an issue in the buffet, main dining room, or specialty restaurant. At times, I will speak with the maitre d the night before a specialty restaurant and inform them of my dietary preferences. They have always accommodated me.

I think it depends on how picky your vegetarian might be. Our teen who eats no meat or seafood really struggled. One main course on the menu and she never liked it - ended up eating at the buffet - plenty of options there. We're doing 6 nights of specialty dining on our Christmas cruise and I assume she will dine off the children's menu so she can join us. Good luck!
