waterbugohio Posted December 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2016 Hey all, Just curious. Have a friend on another website asking why a booking has come up missing. She is not a member of cruise critic. But she has the Empress booked for April 19th and suddenly the booking is missing. Also if you go into royals site, the sailing is gone. Apparently when calling Royal, they have no clue. Any one on here have any ideas for her????

Coralc Posted December 9, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) If they are changing the itineraries to Cuba cruises, it would not be surprising if her reservation is cancelled. She might want to think about a back up sailing for the same dates. She shouldn't cancel, it is better to wait and let the cruise line contact her, they may offer onboard credit or something if her cruise is cancelled or changed. OHCruisinDad Posted December 9, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2016 I would bet on the itineraries are being changed to include Cuba as RCL officially announced yesterday that it has now received formal approval to port in Cuba. Let the cruise line cancel the reservation as they normally offer redeployment compensation in the form of OBC when a canceled cruise is rebooked. Looks like your friend is now going to Havana and Costa Maya. Starting the 30th of April the Emoress will sail from Tampa.

OHCruisinDad Posted December 9, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 9, 2016 There are three dates listed with stops in Havana: April 19th - 5 night April 30th - 7 night May 20th - 5 night The April 19th sailing is from Miami and the other two sailings are from Tampa as the ship will be homeported in Tampa for the summer. Fares are somewhat higher but not outrageous. These three itineraries include a single port day in Havana along with other western Caribbean ports.
