SellaVee Posted January 18, 2017 #26 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Queen Mary 2 was built especiaily for the North Atlantic and venturing where normal cruise ships fear to go..... That's as may be, but I was on that crossing and she was still rocking and rolling on the days where we had particularly rough seas. Dance classes were a particular challenge, and we were warned that we were taking part at our own risk! It was really quite funny. I never felt unsafe though, and the captain did navigate around some of the worst bits. Lots of people swore by sea bands. I'd taken sea sickness pills with me. Only needed them twice. I discovered that getting dressed for dinner made me feel queasy in rough seas so the next rough day I took the pills before I started and was fine. BklynBoy8 Posted January 19, 2017 #27 Share Posted January 19, 2017 In all 25 voyages we have taken during our cruising experiences, on 3 times did we experience feeling. My wife believes in the Bands and twice and separate trips did I use the pills and they worked perfectly find. Pills caused sleepiness. Once in the afternoon and once at bedtime.
