Love2Cruz2015 Posted December 18, 2016 Author #55 Share Posted December 18, 2016 Lobby Carnival is smart, for the LCD screen in the casino, they encircled it with acrylic partitions so keeps it open but none of smoke carries onto the Lobby decks [emoji1305] Lobby looks very pretty in her Christmas decor Casino, obviously Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Love2Cruz2015 Posted December 18, 2016 Author #56 Share Posted December 18, 2016 (edited) Lobby staircase Then we went to check out the food demo at Farenheight 555. It was part instructional, part comedy and part eating. We sampled a 4 course menu. Beef goulash soup, arugula salad, Chicken cacciatore main course, and tiramisu. The host was great. Love2Cruz2015 Posted December 18, 2016 Author #57 Share Posted December 18, 2016 The host presented the full size portion for everyone to see and the waitstaff went around with trays offering everyone samples As if that weren't enough we then went for lunch. Fish and chicken taco from Blue Iguana[emoji4] Soft serve for dessert Once again crowds well dispersed. Only crowded area was wherever Matt was. He attracted crowds like a magnet, he was in full form today on Lido. My DD wanted to be dropped off at Camp Ocean, so I took this time to relax on deck 5 outdoors. It couldn't be any more comfortable here right now. [emoji7] Someone asked about IMAX, no Star Wars. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Love2Cruz2015 Posted December 18, 2016 Author #58 Share Posted December 18, 2016 Sadly, no. "Dr. Strange" & "Fantastic Beasts....." I am on this same cruise, but I will wait until I am home to post my photos/review. My experiences will be slightly different as I am traveling with my husband only. We are staying in the Havana area (Love it), have Thermal Suite passes (Enjoyable), and have several specialty dining planned. The ship is beautiful, and I am surprised by those that feel it lacks "Wow!" It is also full to the brim with people. I have heard we are at max capacity, including 900+ kids. It doesn't feel crowded to me though. And I agree the ship is beautiful. I'm glad I'm booked on her again in 6 months this. Cruise just started but so much I want to try still, like the slides, mini golf and bikes in the air! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
undercat Posted December 18, 2016 #59 Share Posted December 18, 2016 (edited) Love2Cruz2015 and Rosethorn40, did either of you sign up for the Behind the Fun tour? It was sold out with a long waitlist when we boarded around 1. Edited December 18, 2016 by undercat

MAZ100 Posted December 19, 2016 #62 Share Posted December 19, 2016 Day 1 Funtimes Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Thank you for the funtimes pictures. Love your pictures and posts If it is not a problem when taking photos of the funtimes for the other days can you also take a photo of the hourly activities on the back page. I would like to see what activities and what goes on the ship from morning to evening every hour On day 1 you did not take a photo of that so we don't see what goes on hourly from afternoon to evening thanks great posts and thank you for you doing this for us tha
Love2Cruz2015 Posted December 19, 2016 Author #63 Share Posted December 19, 2016 Update from this evening: Tonight was elegant night and we waited an hour for a table. Granted we went at 7:00pm and expected a wait but this was excessive. I would not encourage anyone to get your time dining-stick with traditional times. I'm going back to that for next cruise. Saying that the food was very good, I got fried oysters, lobster and crime brûlée. We went to the show tonight at Liquid Lounge which was a 70's musical tribute to Studio 54 disco music. I really enjoyed it, plenty of seating and we showed up at the last minute. After the show we hit Havana night club, great music so we danced a lot, salsa merengue, reggaton, popular type music that's played in the Miami area. Dance floor was hopping but not overwhelming and there was room to dance. The Dj was very good. I think this will become my hotspot for night time dancing. Love2Cruz2015 Posted December 19, 2016 Author #68 Share Posted December 19, 2016 Here was last nights dinner. Fried oysters Sorry didn't get a pic of the crime brûlée, but it was made right, silky custard and crunchy sugar topping-only critique I could add is that I would have preferred the custard to be cold but it was room temp. Last night after many years of cruising I got hit with motion sickness for the first time. The seas were pretty rough and still are this morning. The ship is rocking and rolling, lots of white caps in the ocean Luckily I came prepared and popped 2 of these this morning. I hope they work. I'll be skipping breakfast this morning, hopefully this will pass and I can have lunch at Cucina del Capitano. Today is another sea day, going to go about my day, maybe the fresh air will do some good. Stay tuned.... Cruise just started but so much I want to try still, like the slides, mini golf and bikes in the air! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk The first night felt very crowded to me, but I also knew that the crowds were probably due to the fact everybody was out and about checking everything out. Yesterday seemed less crowded as people were apparently more spread ou. I heard someone else stating in one of the elevators that they too had waited an hour for a table for the Anytime Dining. This does need to be worked on. So far I feel that the service has been mostly good. There have been one or two exceptions, but I don't expect everyone to be "on" 100% of the time (I'm not, and I don't work anywhere near the hours the staff here does). However, "Java Joe", coffee, latte, etc. maker extraordinaire seems to be on 100% of time. Super nice young man, and just the smiling face one wants to see in the morning. Love2Cruz2015 Posted December 19, 2016 Author #71 Share Posted December 19, 2016 I just went on the carnival website and changed my dining from your time. I got waitlisted for the Vista in June but was able to confirm early dining for Magic on NYE. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

That's funny, my perception was opposite from yours, everyone was out last night taking photos for elegant night plus my absurd waiting time for dinner. Goes to show experiences are unique for everyone. Btw got chance to look at my photos with the new digital format-easy Peasy. You can look at them on your phone, stateroom tv and at the kiosks. I like this system a lot. I'll wait till end of cruise to see which see to buy.
Love2Cruz2015 Posted December 19, 2016 Author #74 Share Posted December 19, 2016 We have our swimsuits on so we're off to the pool deck to try out the wAterpark and slides. Since it's a Sea day, I expect it will be packed. Hopefully Matt will be there to keep us entertained. [emoji7]my DD is playing the video games now. I'll go grab her when I'm through eating. Jamericannn Posted December 19, 2016 #75 Share Posted December 19, 2016 Ok, I'll add Flick to my list. Thanks for the tip. I didn't sleep well last night, shocker..lol Getting ready now, will be leaving my home at 10am; we have an 11:30 check in time. Port of Miami is about an hour drive from my house and we will be parking port side. Yes, there are parking lots close by that shuttle to the port, it's about half the price of port parking, but the convenience is worth it for us. Do you want to trade houses? I'm only about 21 hours drive from the port.
