NO

If the OBC comes from Oceania or TA then non refundable & cannot be used in the Casino

FAQ's https://www.oceaniacruises.com/faq/

What are the casino policies?

Guests must be 18 or older to enter or gamble in the casinos on our ships. US dollars are used. A 3% fee will be charged to your account if we receive a cash advance against your shipboard account. There is a $3,000 maximum per guest per day for these cash advances.

Can I exchange my money for local currency?

For European voyages, Euros may be purchased from reception. For destinations in Europe that do not utilize the Euro, along with Far East and China, South America and the Caribbean, we will endeavor to provide currency exchange services on board or provide the guest with information on currency exchange services available ashore. All foreign currency exchange transactions will be charged to the guest's on board account and a 5% transaction fee will be applied by Oceania Cruises.

Can I use my credit card to get a cash advance on the ship?

Cash advances are available at the reception desk. A daily limit of $500 per registered card can be billed to the guest's shipboard account. A 5% transaction fee will be applied to your account.

I believe if it is from a TA than it is refundable and can be used. From Oceania no as it is non refundable. Should double check with O

The dividing line is how the Onboard Credit came into being.

If it was purchased from Oceania, then it is akin to cash and qualifies for use in the Casino.

If it is promotional in nature, then it may only be used for the purchase of goods and services on the ship.

Yes, just as I understand the system.

You can use cashless wagering with your card, but you can not pay for it with OBC. Not sure if this applies to the tournament.

I just use the mindless slots with cash

so just to be clear ...

you make a bet on the tables with your Sea pass card ... then they will charge your CC at the end of the cruise for that amount

even if you have non refundable obc left

Is that correct or am I reading it wrong ??

I think it's for the machines only, but basically yes, that's the way it works, plus you give them 3%. Sounds like a win/win for them. I can't find an upside for the customer.

Interesting

On Regatta in April the machines only took cash not your seapass like on other lines

Are the machines on the other ships converted now to take your sea pass ??

Not sure on that. I kept a little printout explaining how it works, but like always right after a cruise I can't seem to find it.
