SPA on EPIC - Teeth Whitening

I'm sure they'll use accepted techniques and it'll look great.

BUT: Normal teeth whitening techniques require you to abstain from coffee, tea, red wine and other dark drinks for 24-48 hours after the treatment. Do you really want to have to watch what you eat and drink whilst you're on vacation?

In addition, I can promise you that a cruise ship's spa services, good as they might be, will cost at least 2-3 times what they would at a regular facility on land.

Were I in your position, I'd just get the teeth whitening done before I left home.

Don't do this on a ship or in a spa. Teeth whitening can cause MAJOR sensitivity...and you don't want that on a vacation! Get some Crest Whitestrips...they work WONDERS! Use Sensodyne while you're whitening.....

Nothing will whiten crowns or caps or any artificial tooth material.

These are all my thoughts. I was just wondering since they advertise so much. I will stick with the Crest whitestrips.

Thanks!

Cruise lines and Vegas casinos both push their spa services nonstop. In both cases, the spas are WAAAY overpriced for what you get.

Has anyone ever used the Spa and got their teeth whitened? I am looking for how it went, were there any complications, would you do it again?

Thanks!:D

I had it done on the Gem, and it burned the crap out of the inside of my lips. I admit to having very sensitive skin, but this was beyond anything I could have imagined to have happen.

That means the technician was sloppy and didn't put vaseline on the inside of your lips and/or didn't put in a mouthpiece that held your lips far enough open. If the technician had known what he or she was doing, your unfortunate experience wouldn't have happened.
