MandyGirl Posted December 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Are there recent menus of main dining room and when lobster night falls (if any) on the 7-night Galveston itinerary for Belize / Honduras / Cozumel? Reason I ask is our November cruise of 15 nights on Celebrity, the one night we booked specialty dining later in the cruise we learned afterwards we missed lobster night. Or if so, is it worth skipping anyway? I know some cruiselines have cut back and others are still good tasty portions. This will be our first experience with RCCL and are holding Chef's Table with some other couples on first sea day, which I assume will be formal night (Celebrity didn't do lobster on first formal night last month) Thank you in advance! :)
Ken at the beach Posted December 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Lobster is still served on the second formal night which will be night 5 or 6.

Spurschick Posted December 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 24, 2016 As Ken said second formal night. It is part of the Fishermans Platter. Those in our party that had it on our recent LOTS sailing said it was tough and nowhere near as good as normal. YMMV.
moopetguy Posted December 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2016 I posted my review of the Nov 27, 2016 sailing of Liberty here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2429742 Including a mention of the MDR menu order: Mojo, Saffron (formal), Basil, Pimiento, Jasmine (formal), Shiitake, Pomodoro So during my sailing, the second formal night with the Fisherman's Plate (lobster tail, etc.) was on night 5 (YMMV). I had three plates :) and found it to be quite good, actually. Flavourful (without using any butter sauce) and not rubbery or overly chewy in texture (again, YMMV). MandyGirl Posted December 24, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Thank you both! I tried searching from my phone this morning when in the RCCL forum and it gave me results that must have searched every possible CC forum -eeek! Thank you! Excited to finally try RCCL :)
