Maya Key snorkeling compared to West Bay Beach?

I'll be visiting Roatan for the third time in a few weeks. I've been to Maya Key twice and love it for the relaxed quiet beach and great included lunch, but also for the beautiful snorkeling. I will probably have my own snorkel gear for the first time this trip and am considering Maya Key yet again or somewhere on West Bay Beach. I was wondering if anyone has snorkelled in both Maya Key and West Bay Beach and how you think they compare?

IMO, West Bay from shore or grab a small boat to take you up to West End for a off shore. 10X better than MK.

How easy is it to get to either of these beaches from the cruise port? And are there beach chairs for rental and rest rooms?

There is no comparison. West Bay is the best snorkeling on the island. If you like Maya Key, you will be blown away with any place on West Bay beach.

Thanks y'all. Thinking I will go to Bananarama on my own as opposed to Tabyana thru the cruise line. It looks like they have shuttles in the port area you can hop on?
