We are cruising on the Majesty in January.

 

Just wondered if anybody know who the cruise director is and also any entertainment/ talk etc they would recommend seeing or avoiding.

cd is Tayler McCullough ( his first season as a cd) and acd is Jack Harrison, can't help with the other question, Matt and Amy in the showtean are brilliant singers though

Status in the Fireworks are very good. Songs from the fifties to today are covered and the guitarist Lee is simply brilliant. If you like music not to be missed. Also easy going fun quiz every night in Fireworks.

Status is the name of the resident band who perform in the Fireworks lounge. They are a trio of 2x men on guitars and one female singer. The Fireworks lounge hosts the band as well as quizzes which are very easy going,( although some people like the competition). The prizes are usually a Thomson hessian bag, or a thomson branded pocket torch. For many people the fun was listening to the quiz master/mistress trying to get their mouths around the questions ( full of confidence but lacking in general knowledge). We usually went to the Fireworks lounge to catch the band and the 'Nice and Easy' quiz. Then made our way to the Jubilee lounge for the first show of the evening, again the standard was very good, usually finishing off with drinks in the Royal Observatory bar deck 9, then it was just a few yards to our cabin and a well earned rest.

Royal Fireworks is one of Majestys lounge bars where there is usually entertainment such as a group playing or a quiz - we are the 'proud' owners of a Thomson thermal mug that we got as winners of one of the quizzes there lol.
