I won about $1500 on the QM2 in 3 card poker. That was it for the gambling. It occurred on the first hand. Can't beat that. Put the gambled money back in the safe & took "house" money into the ports. Nice gifts that cruise!

That happened to me in Cherokee, NC. I won a Royal Flush on a video poker machine with a max bet. The winnings paid a good chunk of a vacation in Copenhagen, Denmark!

That was 9 years ago, and I probably haven't gambled $25 in total since.

My grandparents were professional gamblers. The biggest lesson I learned from them (and Kenny Rogers- haha) is know when to quit.

Worst I've lost was probably near $800. Best was mid 2008 at Foxwoods. If the tables weren't too busy(3 card poker)you could play up to 3 spots. I was down about $300. I sometimes would do one last big bet. So I had $100 on pairs plus on 3 spots & about another $50 on the Bet & ante. My 3 draws came to 3 of a kind, a straight & a flush. Needless to say it helped pay for our Princess Grill suite later in 2008. I don't play very often. I still feel that was probably my best win by far. Second best was about $2700 on a slot. I had only dropped about $50 & then had that hit. Took the money & left.

Hi OP --- yes, the quarter machine is definitely there on the opposite side of the crap table and card pit (starboard side of the casino). The Grand's card tables and crap table are on the port side, as opposed to many of the other ships where the tables are all across the middle from left to right. We got off the Grand yesterday and my big-spender daughter won $9.75 on it after depositing $20. She even got one of the small rolls of quarters, which apparently "rolled" off just for her! She looks forward to that machine and religiously plays only $20 per cruise. For her, it was a win because she enjoys the people who walk by and comment to her. It always seems as if there are some people who have never seen it before. I'll post another thread about the casino discount.
