Do me a favor! Stay on the Ship!!! We did Montego Bay some years back & I've never felt so uncomfortable. Crime is rampant in Jamaica. Have a spa day or better yet, book the Sanctuary.

I'm hoping a "safe" area has been built like the one in Falmouth. Years ago we enjoyed Mo Bay, had an unforgettable curried shrimp lunch at a restaurant call the Pelican, shopped local stores and did a glass bottom boat ride. We were followed by people wanting to sell us something, including ganja. Back then it was aggravating, but not scary.

I don't know what there is to do comfortably now.

We're sailing in March too on the Regal. We booked a ship's your to Negril Margaritaville beach day.

Jamaica is always a little dangerous to venture out on your own.

Either do a tour, stick with a cab driver who knows where to go or stay close to the ship.

 

The only port we've been to that was worse was Trinidad.
