Wineart Posted January 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Has anyone ever brought their Coravin on board? From what I'm reading, the Celebrity by the glass wine selection isn't very good. My husband doesn't drink at all, so I'm debating whether I should buy a couple of bottles instead of ordering by the glass and bring my Coravin since I only drink at most 1-2 glasses during dinner. Bo1953 Posted January 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2017 If your Coravin is portable or hassle free enough to bring, that makes perfect sense for your situation! bon voyage
Rare NanaChar Posted January 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2017 I have never had an issue with finding a nice wine by the glass. And I am a wine snob. If your ship has a Cellar Masters on it, you really shouldn't have any troubles. Talk to the sommelier, they are usually very helpful. I'm wondering if Celebrity might have a substitute solution for a Coravin for their guests on board. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
WestLakeGirl Posted January 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Does it use a compressed gas canister? It might not be allowed on board
Wineart Posted January 2, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted January 2, 2017 It uses a small argon cartridge which is enclosed within the Coravin, which is why I'm asking if anyone has brought one on board. I'm local to the port, so don't have to fly with it, and the entire unit is very compact.
