I was sorry to hear that the ultimate dining package that you could purchase on-board the first day is now gone. Does anyone know if the new dining packages include a lunch.

They do not. You are paying for X number of dinners (at a discounted price). They might let you use one of those meals for lunch, but that would be a bad move since the full cost of lunch would be less then you are paying (per meal) for the dinner package.

Although they no longer offer UDP they have replaced it with Dinner Packages - 14 night package is $24pp which is a $5 reduction on the UDP but you forfeit the free Bistro lunch. Check your Cruise Planner, you can purchase online pre-cruise unlike the UDP which was only available onboard on day1.
