San Diego Seaworld distance?

Does anyone know how far Seaworld is from the pier in San Diego? How much would it be by taxi?

It isn't very far, but in California that doesn't mean it won't cost you a lot. I believe it is about 30 minutes give or take because of traffic. I would look into renting a car or get a shuttle service since I would guess the taxi would be close to $50. I have no personal experience with this so I am just estimating from what I know about the area. Hopefully someone will tell you the specifics, but I would research another option besides a taxi.

 

You can tell a Californian because they never give you distance. They give you time since the miles rarley make a difference in how long it will take you to get somewhere. it all depends on the traffic!

I grew up in Coronado and our family still has a place there. From the doc to Sea World by taxi should take no more than 20 min and about 25 dollars to 35 for taxi. Have fun Sea World is great.

If you are on the Dawn Princess - Princess is offering an excursion including ticket and transportation for $65.00 per person. I think the ticket alone for Sea World is about $50.00. I don't always like the constraints of a tour, but that seems like a good price.

Yikes! Those Princess prices are high! It's really a very short distance and with traffic, will take you about 20 mins. like "geez" said. It's a fun day and well worth the taxi ride. Don't waste your money on the cruise line tour and then you can come & go as you please. :)

Well, I take that "Yikes!" back! The price for a Single Day Admission with rides is $50.95. Wow, it's gone up! You might do a search for "Sea World Discounts" on google.com. You might run across some kind of discount.

The Princess tour only provides transportation, they don't show you around inside. We paid $35 for an 10 person van each way. Much cheaper, you are paying for peace of mind on the tour, cabs are easy to get.

Thanks for your help. I'm looking forward to visiting Seaworld; I have already checked out their website. Probably will take a taxi so we can come and go as we please, instead of the Princess excursion.

There is a city bus that takes you right to the Seaworld gate.If I remember right it is the # 9. You take the red trolley to the Old Town station and catch the bus there.The women at the information booth in front of the cruise terminal can point out where to catch the Trolley.
