eccentricfang Posted January 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2017 My mother in law is a smoker and this is her first cruise so I'm trying to get as much info for her as I can. We have side by side aft balcony rooms on deck 8...how far away are the smoking areas? Thanks
okgirl Posted January 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2017 She will have to either go up to deck 10 aft port side or it could be starboard. Or she can go to one side of the Casino bar on deck 5 midship, which is the only inside smoking area.
tdh8359 Posted January 10, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) The below is from Carnivals website showing the different smoking areas for the Spendor. Carnival Splendor Cigarette smoking (including electronic cigarettes and personal vaporizers) are permitted in the following areas: Royal Flush Casino: Smoking is permitted while playing at designated slot machines and table games. Outdoors: Smoking is permitted in designated areas on Deck 3 (starboard side), Deck 10 (starboard side, aft) and Deck 11 (starboard side, midship and aft). TreeLuvr87 Posted January 10, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2017 September 2015 on Splendor, even though it was not written anywhere in the Fun Times or on the goccl website, I was pleased to find that you could smoke in the little whiskey/cigar lounge on deck 5 Aft - the lounge back there with the piano bar and comedy club lounge. Not sure if they still allow it, but that was a nice, warm indoor spot for a ciggie. Enjoy your cruise!

Eng23 Posted January 10, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 10, 2017 They did away with all of the "cigar" bars. I was just on the Splendor and the bar the other poster mentioned is still there, although not technically a "cigar" bar smoking was allowed including cigars.
