BaBa2 Posted January 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2017 After reading many forums, I find that I may be missing out on some "perks" that I may have received if I had booked with a TA. 1. Should I change my booking to an agent or continue on directly with RCLL? 2. Since I have only currently paid a deposit, will I lose any of it. Trip over a year out. Biker19 Posted January 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2017 If you are within 60 days since booking you can move it to a TA. Up to you if the perks are worth going to a TA.
TravelerThom Posted January 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2017 RCCL allows no fee cancellation until Final Payment Date. SOME TAs charge a cancellation fee (the TA has done work to acquire the booking and then cancel the booking, so I'm merely pointing out the possibility of such a fee, not complaining; know what you are getting into). DisneyDatknee Posted January 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Highly recommend trying to find the best deal possible through a TA. Saved me a lot of money and also, sometimes I could get two rooms for less than one room for 4.
Deval Posted January 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Find a qualified TA for a few reasons. 1st is you'll receive perks you won't get booking direct - my most recent is a $400 OBC which would have been $0 if I booked directly with the cruise line. 2nd is you're supporting a small business owner (if an independent agent) - to me this is really important, it's supporting our economy.
