besito20 Posted January 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Hello! Quick question...does anyone happen to know if we could book with our PCC and then transfer our booking to our TA? My FIL was told today he couldn't do that. Wanted to see if anyone was told otherwise. Thanks! :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
triptolemus Posted January 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) https://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/guest-reservation-transfer-faq Short answer, the PCC (naturally) would like to keep the reservation. So either the PCC was being deceitful or simply did not know the correct information. Either case is stunningly pathetic. I'm not used to using a PCC, but he came in handy today on booking three cruises. Why would a PCC care if I transfer? does the PCC get a commission or something? I'd rather transfer to a TA and get some cash back.

I would guess their pay has some sort of commission component, though, and I'd imagine they'd want to keep it. If you can transfer to a TA and get a better deal and working with a TA is okay with you, then by all means. You should make the decision based on your circumstances, not the PCC's. besito20 Posted January 12, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted January 12, 2017 My FIL states that the PCC told him, "if I do the work, then I keep the rewards." Yes, those were his exact words. I ended up calling NCL back and just spoke with a customer service worker who was SUPER FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL and booked our cruise for us. We will transfer to our preferred TA soon. Thanks for the responses and help! :)

besito20 Posted January 12, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted January 12, 2017 After we spoke with NCL tonight, bookings with TAs won't open up with TAs until after midnight tonight. We wanted to book today to guarantee several staterooms next to each other. :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
