gl339 Posted January 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2017 I was on the Star back in April and had a favorite bartender that I would see throughout the ship because he would rotate to different bars. Is this the case for the Escape as well?
Dayana Posted January 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Yes except maybe the 5 o'clock someway bar on the waterfront. It has been staffed by the chocolate cowboy for quite some time. However not sure if he is still there. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare KeithJenner Posted January 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2017 In my experience most barstaff generally have their specific bars which they usually work at, but they do sometimes move around to provide cover. Some tend to move around a little more (as the aforementioned Chocolate Cowboy was doing when we were on the Escape - I'm sure there were about three of him onboard). We tend to use two or three bars more than most and usually see the same people there all through the cruise.
CruisinHarvey Posted January 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Our experience is they stay at the same bar, at least for a contract. It's much easier to schedule, especially since different bars have different hours. Since these people work an unreal amount of hours per week, being in a routine is a plus. You may see some movement on any given cruise though. It seems that when they first come back from vacation, it takes a little while to the get schedule adjusted. For those you who've been on the Escape, you may remember the outside 5 o'clock somewhere bar was Yum's, with Curly as is assistant. When they went on vacation, The Cowboy took over with Ron, as his assistant. Not sure where Ron is now since he got promoted. Yum's now in Margaritaville during day, and Skyline at night. trish1c Posted January 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2017 If you really like a particular bartender, ask that person where else & when they work. Last cruise we spent a lot of time at O'Sheehan's but when we found one of those bartenders at one of the pool bars, we asked when she'd be there so we knew to go to that particular side when she was working.
