Yes, bring (small bills) cash for the straw market. Not that they have much that I'd buy, but I don't really trust using my credit card at places like this. In fact, I often pick up a VISA gift card for myself to use on island stops; if anyone steals it, they won't have access to my actual card.

 

And a similar question that frequently comes up: If you have a drink package, yes, you'll get drinks on the island.

Yes...the "straw market" is a cash thing. Nothing really worth buying..but if you think you want something, bring about $50...that should be MORE than enough!

I like buying a few things at the local straw market. I know it is mostly trinket kind of items but it does support the local peoples economy. I try to buy things that are hand made such as simple artwork.
